How do i set up PDF Creator to work with Vixsoft Products

To install PDF Creator double click the installation file located on the CD to begin the installation process.

Once this is opened, a dialog box appears asking for you to choose a language.

Choose an appropriate language and click ok to continue.

The screen which appears informs you that PDF Creator will be installed on the computer and it recommends that all programs are closed while installation is in progress.

Click next to continue.

Before the installation can continue you must read and accept the licence agreement before the installation can continue.

Click next to continue.

You must choose standard and click next to continue with the installation.

Name the Printer.

Please enter:
Broadgun pdfMachine

Exactly how it is displayed, and then click next to continue.

Select a location where you would like the Program to be installed.

We recommend using the default location unless you are an advanced user.

A screen appears to asking if you want the PDF Toolbar installed click next on this screen to continue.

When this screen appears make sure that PDF Creator Toolbar and COM samples are deselected.
When that is done click next to continue.

Continue selecting next until a screen appears saying “Ready to Install”

Check all information to make sure that it is correct.
When ready click Install.

When this is completed a screen will appear informing the user that the installation has been successful.

Setting up PDF Creator

To Open PDF Creator click on Start Menu > Programs > PDF Creator > (Double Click) PDF Creator to open the program.

Once PDF Creator has been opened, this is what will be displayed.

Now you need to set up the Printer option by selecting Printer > Options or CTRL+O.

Change the Process Priority to Real-time.

Select Auto-Save from the Program list down the left hand side.

Tick the box to enable Autosave.
Delete <DateTime> from filename.

Select <REDMON DOCNAME> from the drop down menu to add a filename token.
The directory for the auto save should match the settings in SY301, you can get to SY301 by clicking System Maintenance (SY) from the main menu SY > 30 > 1 on the Vixsoft Software.
